Business performance
- Total assets was only approx. VND 38.14 billion at its establishment, which exceeded VND 1,323 billion by end of 2007, up by 34-fold over the initially-assigned property by the State.
- Initial number of employees was only 400 people; this number has mounted up to over 1,660 people to date.
- Financial investment: SASCO has extended its investment porfolio both domestic and overseas in a total of 19 organizations, one of which in overseas.
- Business performance : SASCO has moved with vigorous strides over 15 years of operation with remarkable figures as compared with its counterparts at establishment:
+ Revenue : VND 1,197.91 billion in 2007, up by 6 fold against 1994.
+ Profit : VND 164.55 billion, up by 3.25 fold against 1994.
+ State budget contribution : VND 49.65 billion, doubling 1994.
Company Culture
Building the company culture is one of SASCO’s largest policies which is taken particular interest from the company. In fact, the company’s culture regulations has been put into practice since 2006. SASCO’s cultural characteristic does not only reflects in good looks and traits of the employees during their daily work, but engraved in the particulars of the company’s products and services. All these features actually take roots from the company’s honorable traditions since its establishement, which are built with great embracement for the value of conduct and humanity in business, production and administration. SASCO has expressed determination to attempt for stable growth, continuous renovation on the basis of constructing the work environment of respect, collaboration and strong attachment for common goals, which will facilitate each employee to perfect themselves, promote their creativity and devotion. In terms of social ties, SASCO also upholds a great sense of responsibility for the community, perpetually improves the quality of its products and services, meeting to the greatest extent customers’ demands, enhancing the company’s reputation on the market.
Social charity work
One of the company’s striking cultural features is to participate in the programs for the development of the society and community which SASCO held itself resposible. This policy really conveys the meaning of humanity as the company tradition, which has been responded heartily and voluntarily by the company staff. Since 1993 to date, SASCO has assumed the responsibility for supporting ten Vietnamese Horoes’ Mothers, built 35 gratitude houses, 77 gift houses; sponsored individuals in difficulty both inside and outside the company as well as other social organizations. The expenditure on social work has mounted up to VND 9.5 billion over the past 15 years.
Art and culture shows
During the past 15 years, the company management has always created favorable conditions for art and culture programs as well as sport actitvities of the staff, and in fact, such activities have been regularly held in various forms with great enthusiasm of the staff, which have involved a great number of employees participating in and obtaining a great deal of fruitful outcome. As a matter of fact, the company’s art performance team has taken part in 12 festivals with 90 items which have brought about 11 brilliant First Prizes for the whole team, one Second Prize, 54 Gold Medals, 26 Silver Medals and many more certificates of merit rendered by the Ministry of Culture and Information, a gold disk and a silver disk in “Your Video Clip” program.
Training and Quality Assurance
SASCO has always given first priority to recruitment and training work facilitating the employees to upgrade their professions, knowledge, skills and encouraging them to actively study and improve themselves. The company have taken the initiatives in setting up good relationship with reputable training centers, and simultaneously improving in-house training as well as constructing standard training programs for new coming staff.
Along with upgrading the employment quality, SASCO has also carried out standardizations and quality assurance for its products and services, gradually bringing its major products and services up to international standards. Since 2004, two members of SASCO have been granted ISO 9001: 2000 certification.
